D01  Fly in and transfer to your hotel, afternoon is free to acclimatize.

D02-03  Two full day tour to Potala Palace. Jolkhang Temple&Bhakhor, Tibetan Medicine Center, Drepung Monastery.

D04  Coach to Tsedang, which lies (200km) southwest of Lhasa. En route visit Mindroling Monastery, the largest Nyingma sect Monastery in Central Tibet, which was founded in 1670. check in your hotel.

D05  Leave Tsedang and drive 38km to the ferry. Cross the river (1.5h), then it takes about 40km to reach Samye Monastery. After Samye, drive back to Tsedang and continue visiting Tibet first palace –Yumbulhakang and Tanduk Temple.

D06  Drive 280km to Gyantse via Yamdroktso Lake, which can be seen from Kanbala Pass (4794m). It is one of the four holy lakes in Tibet and an important destination for pilgrimage. Check in Gyantse hotel.

D07  After visit Pachl Monastery, drive 90km to Shigatse, which is the second largest city in Tibet. Visit to Shalu Monastery en route. Check in Shigatse Hotel.

D08  A quick visit to Tashihunpo Monastery, then drive 250km to Tingri, on route visit to Sakya Monastery, which was founded in 1073 by Kon Konchok Gyelpo. After passing Lhatse County and Gyatsola Pass (5222m), arrive at Shegar (new Tingri). Check in Qomolangma Hotel (4300m).

D09  Shegar to Rongbuk Monastery. This is a whole day drive, enjoy view of Mt.Everst, Makalu, Lotse and Chooyo, and then keep going to Rongbuk.

D10  Rongbuk to Zhangmu.
