D01 Xining to Qinghai Lake (190km). Qinghai Lake is the largest salt-water in China, en route visit Teaer Monastery, which is one of the six major Yellow Hat monasteries.
D02 Qinghai Lake to Chaka. (200km.) Chaka is a salt lake, which has the deposit of 400million tons of salt.
D03 Chaka to Golmud (484km). Long trip to Golmud, drive through Tsaidam Basin and Gobi Desert.
D04 Golmud to Tuotuohe (409km). All day driving along the upper reaches of Yangtze River, Kunlun Mountain Pass (4767m).
D05 Tuotuohe to Nagchu (330km). Drive over Tanggula Pass (5321m), and then you come to the high altitude northern grassland for Tibetan nomads.
D06 Nacho to Lasha (330km), en route visit Namtso Lake and Yangpachen, which is famous for its terrestrial heat.
