| Located in the middle-towards-south part of Tibet on the northern bank of the middle reaches of Brahmaputra, Nimu County is 3,275 square kilometers around and has a population of 28,000. In Tibetan Nimu means ears of wheat? Under the administration of Lhasa City, the county government is situated at Tarong Town. In Nimu, the chain of mountains rolls up and down; valleys cross through in length and breadth; with an average elevation of over 4,000 meters above sea level, the terrain descends from west to east.
