| Mozhugongka County is situated in the middle part of Tibet and on the west side of Mila Shan Mountain, which stands in the upper and middle reaches of Lhasa River. It is 5,512 square kilometers around and has a total population of 38,000. In Tibetan, it means the white land that black-colored green dragon king resides? Mozhugongka was set up in 1,857 and now under the administration of Lhasa. The pottery flowerpots, butter teapots, braziers, earth pots, wine jars and flagons made at Taba Town are sold around the whole Tibet. Mozhugongka enjoys a centuries-old history and possesses of numerous famous historic sites with Drigung Monastery being the most famous among them. In Mozhugongka County, the Terdrom Hot Spring is most famed for its assistant curative effect to arthritis and bone diseases. |
